Jailbird Elizabeth Holmes was reunited with her husband Billy Evans during a seven-hour visit to see his fraudster wife behind bars, exclusive DailyMail.com photos reveal.

It was an emotional visit for Evans, who arrived with Holmes's parents Christian and Noel on Saturday. The group was seen sitting outside at a picnic table deep in conversation at the federal prison in Texas

Holmes was visibly shaken, crying during much of the visit, while Evans and Holmes's mother appeared equally upset. Her father appeared more stoic, perhaps in an effort to remain strong for everyone else.

At one point Holmes, dressed in her khaki prison uniform, was seen holding onto Evans's finger as they walked, breaking prison protocol which states that only 'a brief kiss, embrace or handshake is allowed upon arrival and departure.'

A violation of rules could result in the denial of future visits for Holmes for an extended period of time.

This is the family's first visit of a possible 572, as they are able to see her once a week during her 11-year sentence.

The family were there Saturday morning early and stayed the full duration of visiting hours.

The four were seen outside chatting from about 9.30am until 3pm, before heading inside the jail for the remainder of the time, leaving the disgraced Theranos founder around 5pm.

The family purchased treats from a vending machine and were seen snacking on Honeybuns and cinnamon rolls and sipping on water and orange soda.

Near the couple were other family members visiting their loved ones.

For this visit, Evans left their young children – two-year-old William and three-month-old Invicta – at home.

Evans was dressed all in black with sneakers, and both he and Holmes carried water bottles, while she wore what appeared to be an ID card on a lanyard around her neck.

The couple broke away from Holmes's parents at times to take a few private strolls together while mom and dad sat at the table chatting.

The disgraced Silicon Valley maven surrendered to jail authorities last week, more than a year after she was convicted of defrauding investors out of $945 million.

The mom-of-two – now federal inmate 24965-111 – swapped her civilian clothes for standard issue khakis.

FPC Bryan Inmates are typically locked up for non-violent offenses and white-collar crime.

They share four-person bunk rooms similar to college dorms and are woken at 6am for factory jobs or food service duties paying anything from 12 cents to $1.15 an hour.

But it's not all bad news as FPC Bryan, located 100 miles northwest of Houston, is known for being notoriously cushy and one of more comfortable holding facilities in the US.

There's also another famous inmate to get to know – Former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah, 49, who's serving six-and-a-half years there for wire fraud.

But despite the comfortable amenities, this weekend's visit was a far cry from how the convicted fraudster spent her final days of freedom, soaking up the sun with her family.

She is now miles away from the San Diego mansion she shared with hotel heir Evans and their children.

U.S. District Judge Edward Davila set her revised prison-reporting date to May 30, meaning she was allowed to spend Memorial Day Weekend with her family before her spell in prison.

Last week, exclusive DailyMail.com photos showed Holmes savoring her last days as a free woman with a family trip to the beach near their oceanfront home

The disgraced tech CEO had originally been ordered to begin her prison sentence on April 27, but managed to buy an extra four weeks with her family after scoring a reprieve with a last-minute legal maneuver.

She temporarily avoided reporting to prison after the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed to stay her date while she attempts to appeal her conviction.

The legal tactic deployed by Holmes mirrored a move made in March by her former lover and subordinate, Ramesh 'Sunny' Balwani, to avoid a prison reporting date of March 16.

After the Ninth Circuit rejected his appeal three weeks later, Davila set a new reporting date of April 20 for Balwani.

The same judge set a new prison-reporting date for Holmes on May 16 after a federal appeals court eventually rejected her bid to remain out of prison while she attempts to overturn her January 2022 conviction on four felony counts of fraud and conspiracy.

The punishment also includes a $452million restitution bill that Davila ordered Holmes to pay in a separate ruling issued earlier this month.

Holmes's lawyers asked Davila to approve the May 30 prison reporting time to give her two weeks to sort out several issues, including child care for her kids.

Holmes had once modeled herself as the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs and won widespread acclaim – including from Harvard University and Time magazine – for a phony technology which she claimed would revolutionize blood-testing methods by using tiny volumes of blood, such as from a finger prick.

She started Theranos when she dropped out of Stanford University at the age of 19.

Before her lies were uncovered in a series of explosive articles in The Wall Street Journal beginning in October 2015, Holmes had raised a staggering amount of money from some of the biggest names in business and tech.

She scooped in nearly $1 billion in funding from some of the world's biggest pockets: Venture capitalist titans including Tim Draper, Donald Lucas and Dixon Doll; wealthy heirs to the founders of Amway, Walmart and Cox Communications; and heavyweights of tech and media such as Larry Ellison and Rupert Murdoch.

Holmes's stake in Theranos at one point catapulted her paper wealth to $4.5 billion.

She never sold any of her stock in the company, and trial evidence left no doubt she reveled in the trappings of fame and fortune – so much so that she and Evans lived on a palatial Silicon Valley estate during the trial.
