A teenage boy has been arrested after young Scottish mother has died following a 'disturbance' in an Edinburgh street yesterday evening.
Police have said a 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the death of the woman, aged 33, who has been named locally as Danielle Davidson.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Constitution Street after officers from Police Scotland received reports of disturbance at around 7.50pm on Thursday.
Ms Davidson, from Edinburgh, was rushed to hospital with 'serious injuries' and then died a short time later.
Friends and relatives have paid tribute after the tragedy, with one person saying he was 'broken' by the death of the 'beautiful' Ms Davidson, calling her an 'amazing mummy' and a 'huge heart'.

He said: 'Life's so cruel; you were a fighter; you don't deserve this; not everyone understood you and that made you unique - but those in your life did - now you're gone.'
Another person affected by the tragedy said on social media this morning after hearing of Ms Davidson's death: 'No words for the tragedy unfolding in this life if I'm honest! My heart has shattered this morning!'
She said her friend had a 'huge heart and great banter' and that she was 'always the most uplifting and supportive friend to me through my highs and lows'.
One heartbroken friend wrote that Ms Davidson was an 'amazing mummy and beautiful lassie'.
After the incident eyewitnesses saw forensic officers at scene dressed in white crime scene suits outside a British Heart Foundation charity shop and a Wetherspoon pub, the Daily Record reports.
A photo taken at the scene today shows a blue forensics tent, surrounded by police tape, has been put up the scene over the tramlines on the Leith thoroughfare.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 7.50 pm on Thursday, 18 May, 2023 we received a report of a disturbance at Constitution Street, Edinburgh.
'A 33-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries and died a short time later.
'A 16-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection with the death. Enquiries are ongoing.'
