Texas boy, 17, who vanished with his mom, 49, is apprehended by cops in Nebraska with 'her BODY' in trunk of his car, after police chased him and he crashed

• Tyler Roenz, 17, of Humble, was found in Aurora, Nebraska - almost 850 miles away - on Friday after leading police on a pursuit
• He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island in serious condition
• A woman's body was found in the trunk of his car. It hasn't been formally ID'd, but sources told ABC 13 the dead woman is his mom Michelle Roenz, 49
• The pair went missing on Thursday and were last seen at their home in Texas 

A Texas boy was apprehended by Nebraska cops a day after disappearing with his mom - with a woman's body found in the boot feared to be that of his missing parent.

Tyler Roenz, 17, of Humble, was found in Aurora, Nebraska - almost 850 miles away from where he disappeared - on Friday after leading police on a pursuit that ended with his car crashing.

A woman's corpse was found in the trunk of his Mazda sedan. 

Cops have yet to formally ID the remains, but sources told ABC 13 the remains found in the car belong to Roenz's mother Michelle Roenz, 49.

Tyler, who ran track at his high school, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Grand Island in serious condition, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said. 

HCSO Homicide Investigators are working with other local authorities and have not yet confirmed the identity of the remains. 

A cause of death for Michelle also remains unclear, and cops have yet to say whether they plan to charge Roenz with his mother's murder. 

The teen and his mother went missing on Thursday around noon near their home on the 14700 block of Birch Arbor Court in Humble. 

Nebraska State Police were able to find the teen by identifying the black four-door Mazda Texas police reported they were last seen in. 

Michelle was quite active on her Facebook page, plugging different rescue animals and encouraging others to adopt available pets.

She lived with her husband, Tyler and his older sister. 

Cops have yet to say whether there were any domestic issues within the family, and what might have led to Roenz's disappearance, as well as his mother's death.
