'Their eyes are literally bigger than their stomachs!' Website highlights ridiculously unrealistic proportions of Disney princesses by comparing their waists and their faces
It's no secret that the waists of our favorite Disney characters are ludicrously tiny, but one new series of images proves that their proportions are even more unreal than previously thought.
The team at comedy website Above Average used 11 of Disney's loveliest ladies to illustrate their latest discovery, placing colored bars over the width of their eyes and waist and comparing the measurements they found that the princess' eyes are literally bigger than their stomachs.
'Hungry, gals? You must be, because these animated Disney kweens’ eyes are literally bigger than their stomachs,' said writer Glenn Boozan on the site.

'I can’t wait to buy my daughter a waist trainer for her Jasmine Halloween costume!'
The comparisons are not all consistent however, some of the characters have even more exaggerated figures than others.
Megara from Hercules, voiced in the film by Susan Egan, appears to have the biggest eyes to waist ratio whereas the title character from the 1995 film Pocahontas has only slightly larger eyes than her waist.

Ariel from The Little Mermaid, whose looks famously based on that of actress Alyssa Milano when she was starring in sitcom Who's the Boss?, is also surprisingly one of the least exaggerated.
Other characters covered in the project include Jasmine from Aladdin, Tiana from The Princess and the Frog and Elsa and Anna from the film Frozen.
The shapes of the wildly popular characters have long come under fire by critics who believe that the impossible figures of the princesses project unattainable beauty standards that can have a negative affect on the little girls who idolize them.

That's one tiny waist! Disney have reportedly denied accusations of digitally altering Lily James' waist in Cinderella
And the brand hasn't helped much even in their live action films such as Cinderella starring Lily James, whose corset-cinched waist was so unbelievably tiny in the film that it attracted uproar from viewers who believed the producers had digitally altered her.
One princess not covered in the new project is Merida from Pixar's Brave, who quickly became a favorite with parents for her less exaggerated proportions, unruly locks and strong personality.
So attached were the parents that when Disney gave Merida a 'sexy' makeover, they hit back with a petition to keep the fiery Scottish character the way that she was. It was signed by over 260,000 fans.
