Alienette has previously revealed how she was just two years old when her grandmother 'discovered that she could really sing.'

From a young age, she would take to the stage for small gatherings such as family reunions and weddings before being introduced to the world of competitions.

It was Alienette's passion for the French language and singing that led her to join France's Got Talent nearly a decade ago - and she has since discussed the importance of music acting as a universal bond.

'I sing in different genres and languages to convey the idea that music is universal, boundless, diverse,' she said.

'We may have different nationalities, but to music, we're all but citizens of the same small world. People may identify me as a blind singer, but to me, I'm a singer who happens to be blind.'

She now regularly posts clips of herself singing covers from some of the most iconic performing powerhouses.

Her most popular videos on social media to date include Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men's One Sweet Day, Celine Dion's Because You Loved Me and Whitney Houston's Greatest Love Of All.

And all of her renditions have been flooded with praise as one follower wrote: 'Your voice is clearer than my plans in life.'

Another added: 'Mariah Carey songs are hard to sing with, but she did effortlessly.'

And a third person quipped: 'Girl, you have a powerful voice. If you don't make a career like Celine Dion, this world doesn't know anything about music.'

Someone else also asked: 'How do you sound like Celine, Mariah and Whitney, and they all have different voices?'

'Your voice is quite literally out of this world. It is like your soul embodied,' another gushed before another shared: 'The range. The control! OH MY GOD. I'm in complete awe of your talent.'

One person wrote: 'I can confirm that Whitney Houston would approve of this.'

Alienette has previously spoken to Rappler about the positive effects that social media has had on her blossoming career.

'Whatever connections I made in the past to get to where I wanted to be, were all through social media,' she shared.

'It leads me to the right people I wouldn't have known otherwise, and those people, in one way or the other, helped me reach my dreams.

'Social media and [technology] has certainly paved the way for my dreams.

'Without it, I couldn't even have dreamt big in the first place, knowing how limited my world is.'

She continued: 'It was social media that showed me the possibility of my impossible dream, and lead me to people who helped me realize it.

'I may not be one whom you can consider a celebrity, but I can proudly say, I'm a person with a clear vision, big dreams and definite plans for the future, thanks to technology.'
