She was the height of elegance in a feather fedora when the Royal Family gathered at Sandringham on Christmas Day.
And young fans of the Princess of Wales are now looking back to Kate's earlier – and somewhat more eclectic – looks for fashion inspiration.
Kate's Noughties outfits have become a hit among a generation of teenagers who have embraced retro fashion trends.
Photos of Catherine Middleton – as she was 'before she became a royal' – have been trending on the video sharing social media platform TikTok, with young girls trying to emulate her outfits from the early 2000s.
Vintage fashion sellers, who sell second-hand clothing on apps such as Depop and Vinted, have even created 'Kate Middleton drops' – collections of clothing for sale inspired by the royal's previous looks.

Gen Z users on TikTok have hailed her as the 'real it-girl', making photo montages and dressing up in her old styles.
'Why is no one talking about how elite Kate's style was in the 2000s,' one captioned their video, with another writing: 'Once a fashion icon, always a fashion icon.'
Some posted videos of themselves putting together outfits identical to her previous looks.
'Today we're going to dress like Kate Middleton, so let's go,' one teenager said, speaking to the camera. 'I am not a big fan of Kate's looks now, but I like her older ones before she became [a] princess.'

'She wore a lot of looks like this,' the user said, adding a photograph of a younger Kate wearing low-waisted jeans, a wide black belt and a camisole top.
Another user also attempted to copy the princess, captioning her video: 'Who wouldn't want to be Kate back then?'
A third also created ensembles inspired by the royal, now 40, writing: 'Wishing we were Kate in the 00s.'

These outfits included a black, belted knitted dress with knee-high boots for 'a date with a boy named William'; beige trousers, a knitted hat and patterned jumper for 'going to a polo match'; and a black skirt and sequined top for 'clubbing with the girls'.
While the princess's clothes are no longer for sale on the high street, those wanting to dress like her can find similar items on second-hand websites.
One vintage seller on Depop curated a 'Kate Middleton drop' which included a 'super cute plaid skirt' for £28, as well as a pair of yellow shorts to recreate her 'roller skating outfit', worn to a charity event in 2008 when she was 26 years old.

Other items included cord skirts, sweater vests and patterned V-neck jumpers.
Another seller used photos of Kate in her younger years to advertise a pair of blue bootcut, low-waisted Diesel jeans. 'Kate Middleton's favourite pair of jeans in the 2000s,' they wrote.
Noughties fashion generally is enjoying a resurgence, with eco-conscious Gen Z teenagers increasingly favouring second-hand or vintage clothing.
