The Boulder County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who died in a crash on U.S. 287 Friday.

According to a release, 58-year-old Douglas Gin died in the crash at the intersection of U.S. 287 and Oxford Road.

At 1:14 p.m. Friday, a call came into dispatch about a high-speed head-on collision involving five vehicles, according to Mountain View Fire Rescue spokesman Rick Tillery.

Tillery stated that four other people were taken to the hospital and two people at the scene declined treatment.

Colorado State Patrol and the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the cause of the crash.
