He is currently in custody and is set to next appear on Tuesday for his hearing on advisement. He has not yet been set a bond.

According to the affidavit, at 9:02 a.m. July 3, police responded to a report of a man stabbing another man under a bridge at Broadway and Arapahoe Avenue. Police arrived on foot in the area and found the victim walking west on a path from the Arapahoe Avenue underpass holding a shirt covered in blood to his head. Police also noticed two other people in the area wearing City of Boulder shirts.

Police then saw Gregor riding a bike eastbound and heard a description of the suspect as a white, bald man aired on the radio. Police chased Gregor as he headed toward the creek path behind Boulder High School.

At 9:07 a.m., an officer pulled out his stun gun and demanded Gregor remain on the ground, according to the affidavit. Gregor was compliant and was arrested.

While they searched him, police said they found a multicolored knife, hypodermic needle, glass pipe with white residue, scissors and a screwdriver. Gregor was reportedly heard saying, “I’m sorry dude. I’m dumb dude. Everyone’s telling me to [expletive] do that dumb [expletive],” and “I feel bad because that’s my buddy.”

Gregor also reportedly said, “Well I don’t understand this. Everybody’s here tells me to do it and he told me to do it, too.”

When police later spoke with the victim in hospital, he reportedly said he was asleep in his sleeping bag when a man came up and began stabbing him with a knife and hitting him with a black metal pipe, according to the affidavit.

Police noted that a doctor recorded the victim to have multiple stab wounds to the head and upper torso on a Serious Bodily Injury form.

According to the affidavit, Gregor has “extensive criminal history.” According to Colorado court records, he has two prior cases out of Boulder, one from Jefferson County, more than 30 cases in Larimer County, which include four open cases, and three prior cases in Weld.
