Boulder police are working to find a suspect who tried to sexually assault a woman near Broadway and Baseline Road on Thursday night.

According to a post on X from the Boulder police, the woman was walking in that area just after 6 p.m. when a man grabbed her and pulled her into a nearby tunnel. The woman escaped after using pepper spray and biting the man’s hand, then ran to a nearby fire station and called for help.

Police believe the man is his 30s with long, shaggy hair, roughly 5 feet 7 inches tall and with an average build, according to the post. The suspect was last seen wearing blue and gray clothes and could have an injury on his hand from the bite.
