A Broomfield man pleaded not guilty to stabbing his mother to death and injuring a man in his home in 2022.
Joseph Majewski, 34, pleaded not guilty on June 10 to first-degree murder – after deliberation; attempted first-degree murder – after deliberation; first-degree assault – causing serious bodily injury with a deadly weapon and two sentence enhancers.

Majewski is set for a ten-day trial starting Dec. 2, more than two years after Laurie Majewski was found dead and a man was injured.
Majewski remains in custody on a $2 million bond.
According to a release, officers were called to Joseph Majewski’s home in the 13000 block of Grove Court just before 5 p.m. Jan 3, 2022, on a call of a disturbance and stabbing.
Officers found Laurie Majewski deceased inside the home along with an injured man, who was taken to an area hospital.
