William “Bill” Jaile, Jr. OBITUARY

William “Bill” Jaile, Jr., 67, of Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, with his loving wife, Janice “Jan” (Murphy) Jaile, by his side. Bill was the son of the late William and Gladys (Nojas) Jaile. Besides his wife of 37 years, Bill is survived by his aunt, Teresa Reyna; his cousin, Tony Reyna and wife Fatima Reyna; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill graduated from Hartford High School in 1975, then attended a 2-year program for music with a concentration on percussion at the Hartford Conservatory of Music. Bill owned and operated Williams Shoes, on Park Road in West Hartford for 37 years, and retired in October of 2019. Bill was a phenomenal drummer and played in bands throughout his life, namely Straight No Chaser, Second Harvest, Planet Irf and Martini Time. He would occasionally fill in as drummer for the Rush Hour band as well. He also spent many years as a member of the St. Patrick’s Bagpipe Band as a snare drummer and marched in many parades. Bill had a very warm personality and he will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends in the music community who were heartbroken when they heard of his passing. Special thanks to the Hospice Care Team at Hartford Hospital who took great care of Bill during his last days.
