Teri Ferguson OBITUARY

Teri Arendt Ferguson passed away on Friday night at 64 years old. A high school track star, her speed on the track was only matched by that of her mind. Born in Manchester, Connecticut, she relocated to Jupiter, Florida in 1996, where she built a strong community and raised her two children, Chris and Kate, with her husband, Ron. Teri lived for gatherings with friends and family– whether it was the holidays or just a get together with friends, she made sure there was always an endless supply of food, drinks, and fun. She loved to travel, and ate her way around the world with Ron – from baguettes and pastries in Paris along the Champs-elysee, to fondue in Amsterdam, delicious pizza and pasta in Rome, and afternoon tea in London, she delighted in exploring and finding new hole-in-the-wall places. Quick-witted with a strong sense of humor, Teri was an avid consumer of the news and current affairs, and was making sharp jokes that got people to laugh until the very end. Above all, Teri was a devoted wife and mother. Together for over fifty years, her and Ron’s relationship survived many obstacles – from serious injuries to major moves – and is a testament to the power of love and partnership. Teri’s love for her kids was unwavering; she was the kind of mother who planned surprise birthday parties, who started shopping for Christmas gifts in September, who always answered the phone, no matter what time, when her children needed her. Her love for her children was only rivaled by the joy she found in being a grandmother to her grandkids, who consistently delighted and surprised her. While she will be sorely missed, her family and friends will always keep her in their hearts.
