Rickey R. Nadeau OBITUARY

Rick R. Nadeau “Doc”, 74 of Charlestown, RI, beloved husband of Debra Harrington Nadeau, passed Saturday, June 29th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 21, 1950, in Van Buren Maine, son of the late Robert and Carmen Nadeau, Rick was raised in East Windsor, CT, and later residing in Charlestown, RI. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister Carol DuMonchel, several sister and brother in-laws, and his adoring nieces and nephews.

Rick, for several years, graciously served his community as Second Selectman for the town of East Windsor and on the board of directors for his residential community.

His careers were distinguished by his unwavering dedication and excellence, beginning in his youthful years at Chester’s Market in East Windsor to his many years as Vice President of Southern Auto Auction.

Rick loved Rhode Island and was passionate about boating, reading, UConn basketball, music, and above all, being a devoted uncle.

His impassioned love for both old and new friends were vital to his unwavering strength, his witty sense of humor, and infectious smile were contagious to all.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 8:00 to 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 13th at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine’s Church, 6 Windsorville Rd., Broad Brook, CT.
