Nancy C Grande OBITUARY

Nancy C. Grande, 86, beloved wife of the late Paul Grande, passed away on June 28, 2024. She was born in New Haven, CT on October 8, 1937, the daughter of Albert Carless and Magdalene Arnold Carless. She made her home in Connecticut, Virginia, and The Villages of Florida with her husband Paul during their 37 years of marriage. Nancy graduated from Milford High School, attended Central CT University and went on to become a legal secretary which was a career that she enjoyed for many years. When she wasn’t working, Nancy volunteered her time to many different organizations, most notably The American Red Cross where she received the Clara Barton Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership. Nancy’s most cherished role was that of wife, mom, and grammie. She loved her family and devoted her life to them. She is survived by her loving daughters, Sandra Schultz(Kenneth) of West Hartford, CT and Robin Hirtle of Granby, CT, her adoring grandchildren Robert Schultz(Mallory) of Wethersfield, CT and Gretchen Martin(Connor) of West Hartford, CT and her great-granddaughter Lola Schultz. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Allan Grande(Cynthia) of Colchester, CT, Sara Gavens(Andrew) of Niskayuna, NY, Ian Grande(Richard) of Bloomfield, CT, and grandchildren Melissa Gavens, Jennifer Solomon(Jonathan) and Molly Gavens(Ben). Funeral services were privately held on July 1st at Beth El Temple Cemetery in Avon, CT.
