Michele Susan Zito OBITUARY

Michele Susan Zito (58), of Marietta, GA, formerly of Charleston, South Carolina, loving aunt, sister and daughter, passed away peacefully Monday, June 24th, 2024. Michele was born October 22, 1965, and raised in Charleston, one of three children to the late Joseph R. Zito, Sr. and Adele Iva (Lavoie) Zito. She graduated from Garrett High School (82). Michele held several jobs including Harbor Records, Metal Trades, and Roper Hospital. She created many friendships through the years and was known for her sense of humor and strong opinions.

Michele loved music, clothes, perfume, and painting her nails. She also loved all of her cats Herald, Emmie, Linus, and Lucy. Her greatest joy in life was her family and the time spent together.

Michele will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her surviving family. A brother and sister in law, Jeffrey Raymond and Ingrid Marijke (Craeninckx) Zito of White, GA; a nephew Joseph Rudolph Zito, with his wife, Melissa (Smith) Zito, children, Lily and Bodey Zito, and Taylor Piazza all in Scotch Plains, NJ; a niece, Allison Marie (Zito) Basham, with her husband, Kevin Basham, and their children, Caleb and Miranda Basham, all in Cumming, GA. Michele was pre-deceased by a brother, Joseph Rudolph “Rudy” Zito, Jr., her father Joseph Rudolph “Joey” Zito , Sr. and Mother Adele Iva (LaVoie) Zito.

A Committal Service will be held Saturday, July 13, at 11:00 a.m. directly in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, (Section L), 1 Cottage Grove Rd., Bloomfield.
