Frederick M. Alford OBITUARY

Frederick Morgan Alford, 76, of Windsor, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 10, 2024. Born on March 21, 1948, son of the late Alden H. and Jean (Morgan) Alford. Raised in Windsor, CT, Frederick graduated from Brewster Academy Prep School. After graduation, he continued with his career as a taxi driver at Airfield Taxi, then became a bus driver for Rainbow Bus Co. while simultaneously driving a school bus for Loomis Chaffee School. Frederick was affiliated with Hayden Station Company of the Windsor Fire Department for over fifty years. He retired as a deputy chief. Frederick served on the Board of Directors of Hartford County Fire Emergency Plan. He was also a member of the Connecticut Fire Chiefs Association. Frederick is survived by several cousins and special friend and caregiver, Alicia and family who resided with Fred in his home. A Visitation has been planned for Saturday, June 22, 2024, 9:30-10:00AM, followed by a funeral service to begin at 10:00AM, at Carmon Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave, Windsor, CT 06095.
