Caroline Gesualdi OBITUARY

With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Caroline Gesualdi, on Thursday June 20th, 2024 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, with family by her side.

Carol, formerly of Rocky Hill, CT, was predeceased by her soulmate and husband, Frederick A. Gesualdi, Sr., and her cherished son, Frederick A. Gesualdi, Jr. She is also predeceased by her brother, Stanley Horanzy, and sister Barbara Foy.

Carol is survived by her devoted and treasured son, Richard K. Gesualdi of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and her adored granddaughter, Tristin E. Gesualdi of Bristol, CT. She leaves behind her cousin and best friend, Muriel Giacalone of New Britain, CT, along with her extended family and friends.

Born September 7, 1944 and raised in New Britain, CT, Carol was the daughter of the late Stanley Horanzy Sr. and Helen Jase Wichrowski. She demonstrated immense dedication in her career as a licensed cosmetologist, thriving as a hairdresser and becoming a beloved figure in the community. Carol also earned a real estate license, showcasing her versatility and commitment to professional excellence.

Carol’s vibrant personality was evident in her affection for Foxwoods Casino. She loved to call herself a “Foxy Lady” and spent many joyful hours there, enjoying the excitement of the slots and the lively atmosphere.

A passionate fan of Elvis Presley, Carol, along with her husband Fred, found great joy in his music, often sharing their mutual admiration for the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Carol could often be found enjoying a plate of “spag and meatballs—sauce on the side” or a cup of “cadoffee.”

A celebration of her life will be held in her home state of Connecticut on Saturday, June 29th, at Elizabeth’s Restaurant, 825 Cromwell Ave, Rocky Hill from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Flowers can be sent directly to Elizabeth’s Restaurant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees in Carol’s memory.
