Brian A. Pulito OBITUARY

Brian Anthony Pulito, 79, of West Hartford, beloved husband of Margaret B. Goulet Pulito, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Hartford, he was the cherished son of the late Anthony and Yvonne Pulito and is the oldest of many Pulito and Arbo cousins. He had lived in West Hartford for most of his life.

Those who knew Brian will remember him for his love of the outdoors, bike rides, ziti with meatballs and financial statements. He had a caring and generous spirit. Brian was involved in many volunteer and community service projects such as The Walk for Hunger and The Food Rescue Program. He was also a member of the West Hartford Garden Club and was passionate about his own garden with his long-time friend, David Simpson. Brian enjoyed the community of the Old Guard. He also participated in 31 retreats at Holy Family Retreat Center. He was formerly a member of the Church of St. Helena, of which his mother and father were founding members. Brian currently was a member of the Church of St. Peter Claver. He graduated with a degree in Accounting at the University of Hartford and worked at Alstom Power (formerly ABB, Combustion Engineering) until he retired.

Brian was a cherished husband of 48 years, devoted father and loved friend. He is survived by his wife Margaret B. Goulet Pulito and their two sons, Steven J. Pulito and his wife Kirsten of Missoula, MT, Daniel J. Pulito and his wife Andrea of Brooklyn, NY. He was a proud grandfather to Forrest G. Pulito and Olive J. Pulito of Brooklyn, NY and Anthony “Tony” J. Pulito of Missoula, MT. Brian is also survived by his sister Elaine E. LaMothe of Corinth, NY; his aunt Dorothy A. Pulito of Southington, CT; his sister-in-law Kathy B. Lettieri and husband Paul of West Simsbury, CT; his sister-in-law Suzy B. Goulet of Los Angeles, CA; and his nephews Glenn D. Pulito and his wife Mary of Altamont, NY, James P. Humphrey and his wife Sandra of Clermont, FL, Paul A. Lettieri and his wife Gretchen of Lake Forest, CA and William T. Lettieri of Los Angeles, CA. He is predeceased by his nephew James P. Lettieri.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, (June 12), from 4pm to 7pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the next day, Thursday, (June 13), 10am at the Church of St. Peter Claver, 47 Pleasant St, West Hartford. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will follow immediately after at Fairview Cemetery.
