Anne (Valente) Visconti OBITUARY

Anne (Valente) Visconti, 88, of West Hartford, beloved widow of Joseph J. Visconti passed over on June 17, 2024. She was born on March 13, 1936 in Providence Rhode Island to the late Gabriel Valente of Calabria Italy and Salvatrice Augello of Floridia, Provence of Syracuse, Italy.

Anne married the love of her life, Joseph J. Visconti, at 17 years old, and their bond of love, which only fairy tales and movies are made of, continued after his death in 2008. For 71 years Anne held nothing more dear to her heart than her love for Joe and their children. At an early age she became very interested in esoterism and later became a lecturer on the works of Rudolf Steiner, Anthroposophy and Rosicrucianism. Her interest and intelligence for the other worldly, with a practical approach to life over a cup of tea, was as enlightening as it was magical. Anne also was an artist, which manifested not only in drawing, painting and sketching, but also in the love of fashion, no one had more style and a sense of beauty, or an exceptional wardrobe, than Anne Visconti.

Anne is survived by her brother Gabriel Valente of Glastonbury, daughter Sharon Visconti of West Hartford, daughter Joanne Messios and her husband Peter Messios of Delray Beach Florida, son Joe Visconti of West Hartford, son Mark Visconti and his wife Therese Visconti of Coconut Grove Florida. Her grandchildren are Annie Blackburn and her husband Tyson of Greenwich, Alexandra Pascale and her husband Michael of Newington, Joseph G. Visconti and his wife Jacqueline Sendgikoski of Frankford New Jersey, Gabriella Visconti of West Hartford, Michael Visconti of West Hartford, Mark J. Visconti and his wife Elizabeth of Avon, Sarah Visconti of Melbourne Florida and Sam Visconti of Simsbury. Her great grandchildren are Isabella and Alex Blackburn, Jase and Jaxon Pascale, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday June 21, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 872 Farmington Ave. W. Hartford. Friends and family may call Thursday, June 20 from 4-7 pm at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave. W. Hartford.
