Anna Marie Krocheski OBITUARY

Anna Marie (Coughlin) Krocheski, 81, of Tolland, beloved wife of Joseph “Joe” Krocheski, Sr., died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 26, 1942, in Buckhannon, WV, to the late James Albert and Antoinette (DeRico) Coughlin. Anna Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

After graduating at the top of her class from Buckhannon-Upshur High School in 1960, Anna Marie left her familiar roots behind for Akron, OH, where she met the love of her life and best friend, Joe. The couple was married on June 17, 1967, and together they created a beautiful life full of love and laughter. Anna Marie and Joe eventually settled in Tolland, CT, and over the years, they happily welcomed five children and six grandchildren into their lives.

During their 57 years of marriage, Anna Marie and Joe, Sr. created a loving family with their children Carolyn Krocheski, the late Joseph Krocheski, Jr. and his wife Judith, Diana Barton and her husband Scott, Timothy Krocheski and his partner Melissa, and Kimberly Newberry and her husband John. Anna Marie also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Kathryn, Isabella, Ryan, Jason, Alex, and Emily; one brother Joseph Coughlin and his wife Barbara; one sister Helena Sommerville and her husband Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other family members preceding her in death include one brother, James Coughlin, Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Louise Newman (Victor) and Patricia Ann Ricottilli (Carlo).
