UPDATED:

Duran Duran, the 1980s exemplar of the New Romantic movement that has continued to put out new albums and try new sounds, will return to Mohegan Sun Arena on Oct. 25.

Though the band has been touring regularly for years, Duran Duran has not played Mohegan Sun — or Connecticut in general — since 2016.

Duran Duran’s 2023 “Future Past” world tour, which coincided with the release of the band’s 16th album “Danse Macabre,” sold out many of its U.S. dates.

Four key members of Duran Duran, some of who split from the band for a while in the ‘80s or ‘90s but rejoined, are back touring. They include keyboardist Nick Rhodes, bassist John Taylor, drummer Roger Taylor and vocalist Simon LeBon.

In recent setlists, Duran Duran has been playing classic ‘80s hits such as “Hungry Like the Wolf,” “Rio” and their James Bond movie theme “View to a Kill,” but also more recent songs like “Black Moonlight” from “Danse Macabre” and 2021’s “Invisible,” which was used in the popular video game “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.” They’ve also been performing such diverse covers as Grandmaster Melle Mel’s “White Lines (Don’t Do It)” and Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer.”

Tickets for the Oct. 25 show will go on sale Friday through Ticketmaster and Saturday through the Mohegan Sun Arena box office. Details are at mohegansun.com.
