Vivian (Miller) Moore, 90, of Southington, passed away Saturday March 30, 2019 at her home. She was the wife of the late William H. Moore, Jr.Vivian was born September 2, 1928 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late John and Irene (Yard) Miller. She started her career at Bradley Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse and then continued at Meriden- Wallingford Hospital. After her retirement, she was a volunteer at Bradley Memorial Hospital and was an avid member of the Southington YMCA. She loved spending her summers at the Mountain Grove Club. She was a parishioner of Mary Our Queen Church since its inception. She loved to travel but most of all cherished spending time with her children and grand-children.She is survived by two sons, John Moore and his wife Damaris of Leonia, NJ, James Moore of Newport Beach CA, two daughters, Mary Grouten and her husband Alan of Farmington and Maureen Zommer of Plainville. She also leaves her grandchildren,Michael and Jessica Zommer, William Grouten and his wife Heidi, Steven and Christina Grouten, Conor and Elizabeth Moore, two great- grandchildren, Jaxon Zommer and Mackenzie Grouten. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Michael L. Zommer and a granddaughter Melissa Zommer.The funeral is Thursday 9:15 AM from the Della Vecchia Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street to Mary Our Queen Church, 248 Savage Street at 10:00 AM for a Mass. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
