A Tolland man died Saturday afternoon after he crashed his Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Route 32, according to state police

Bryan Alexander, 48, lost control of his motorcycle while speeding past two cars just south of the Sunoco gas station on Route 32, which is also River Road, state police said.

Alexander struck the dirt shoulder on the opposite site of the road while passing the cars — in a no-passing zone — which sent him back across the road and off the southbound shoulder of the road, state police.

He then lost control, fell off the bike and hit a utility pole. He was not wearing a helmet and was killed during the crash, state police said.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash itself and the incident remained under investigation Monday.
