Emily and Lorelai Gilmore are back together!

Almost two decades after Gilmore Girls got canceled and nearly eight nears since A Year in the Life, folks got to see cast members Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop meet up for a surprise mother-daughter reunion.

In a new post uploaded on Lauren's Instagram, the actresses took a selfie together while looking like the perfect duo in matching black sunglasses. What's more, Lauren affectionately shared the twosome had taken the time to grab lunch, which she absolutely needed to document for her fans.

"Here’s to the ladies who lunch. #Kelly," she captioned the sweet photo on June 28.

When fans caught on that Lauren and Kelly had a mini reunion away from the cameras, it immediately had they bombarding her with comments.

"Our fave tv mom and daughter duo," one person wrote in the comments. "FRIDAY NIGHT DINNERS MADE IT TO THE GRAHAM," another screamed, referencing their characters' iconic weekly dinners on the hit dramedy. "Are you trying to break the internet!! Ahhh," someone else wrote. There were plenty of "OMG" comments as well.

Of course, there were others asking about the possibility of another Gilmore Girls reboot. "Please tell me there will be another Gilmore Girls series/movie?" someone asked.

While it's unclear whether Lauren and Kelly were just meeting for lunch or on other important business, at least Gilmore fans have something to look forward to this year. Kelly announced to People in February she'd be exploring her time working on the show (and other parts of her illustrious career) in her upcoming memoir, The Third Gilmore Girl. The book is set to hit shelves on September 17, 2024, and will likely share behind-the-scenes details into what it was like to film Gilmore Girls.

Maybe next time we'll get Alexis Bledel in the mix when Kelly and Lauren go to lunch?
