As the world learned from Chrissy Teigen's frank admission, even the most oversharing among us really aren't thinking and telling too much about their buttholes. In the age of internet tell-alls, most folks have no problem chatting about just about any body part. But that doesn't mean butts aren't still under scrutiny.

Enter: Dr. Evan Goldstein, a Manhattan plastic surgeon whose specialty is anal rejuvenation. That specific phrase aside, Goldstein's work involves tightening, loosening, and shaping up buttholes with all the tools at modern plastic surgery's disposal, which naturally includes Botox. (Anal bleaching is another cosmetic treatment, but it has its critics.)

In an interview with the New York Post, Goldstein, who is a gay man, found himself in a field that mostly treated anal cancers and hemorrhoids, with little to no regard for the area's cosmetic potential. So he began offering tightening and loosening services outside of an explicit medical reason: "It’s kind of crazy. I did not think I would be playing with ass all day, that is for sure."

Lest you think people are only ever interested in cosmetic surgery just for the shallow reasons (which are fine, anyway), the good doctor offers treatments for more traditional ailments like hemorrhoids and fissures. Depending on the affected area, procedures can run from $5,000 to $25,000.

So who are the folks getting these kinds of procedures? One man, "Tom," employed Goldstein's services to correct a previous surgery. And in the end, "How does it feel? Whoo-hoo! Yes! It was a victory ... This is all I wanted, from the beginning — for this tiny little thing to look beautiful." But while the majority of Goldstein's clientele is gay men, he remarks that more and more women are coming in for procedures.

Whether for purely health or purely cosmetic reasons, or anything in between, it seems anal rejuvenation is cracking (sorry) out of stereotypes and niche markets and into mainstream beauty convos.
