Get in losers, we’re going to bed—and we’re not alone. Erika Jayne from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills joined Cosmo for a cuddle sesh, and she was as outrageously hilarious as usual. If you’re looking for Real Housewives tea, you’re in the right place because Erika is truly the realest Real Housewife of them all.
Being a reality TV star is a lot harder than it looks. For starters, the hours are CRAY. Erika has to be ready to go at all times, so she rarely gets a full eight hours of beauty rest. Nevertheless, she always looks ~flawless~ thanks to “a lot of caffeine and a lot of positive thinking.” Running on a few hours of sleep isn’t fun for anyone...but for the Real Housewives, it sure makes for good TV.
“You can go to Housewives f*cked up and they probably appreciate you more,” Erika says. “When I say f*cked up, what I mean is tired, irritable, just got off a plane, I haven’t slept. How do you think they get all those great reactions on trips? We’re tired, no water, no food, but a lot of liquor—and you’re off to the races.”
A lack of sleep, food, and water will def make anybody irritable—so it makes total sense that the Housewives always get into tiffs on group vacays. But no matter what is said during a tense moment, Erika believes that everyone has to own their sh*t.
“I think that every woman on the show has had nights where they’ve laid in bed and kind of stared at the ceiling and worried about how they’re going to be perceived or something that happened or what’s going to be shown because we’re not in control of that. I lie in bed at night all the time thinking, ‘I can’t believe I said that, I can’t believe I did that,’ but those are the moments that you have to really own up and just say, ‘Hey, you know what, I did it, I’m a human being,’ and you got to roll with the punches. Otherwise, you should not be in the reality TV game. You are a human being, you get your feelings hurt, and you are sensitive. But at the end of the day, it’s kind of par for the course.”
