The ROI of Sustainability: Session Three

June 13, 2024 10:00 AM ET - 12:00 PM ET | Hybrid Meeting

Determining and conveying the return on investment (ROI) of sustainability initiatives is a major challenge for companies today. Beyond investor pressure, sustainability has become a business imperative. To address this critical issue, The Conference Board Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Center is hosting a series of Roundtable discussions on The ROI of Sustainability.

Our first session on March 29 laid the groundwork by exploring the current state of measuring sustainability ROI, identifying key calculation elements, and examining prevalent challenges. In the second session on May 9, we emphasized the importance of agility and having multiple contingency plans to adapt to setbacks. We also highlighted the need to tailor communication to different stakeholders to ensure engagement and support for sustainability projects.

Join us for Session Three: Measuring Tangible and Intangible Impacts

Building upon insights from our previous sessions, this upcoming session will delve deeper into quantifying immediate financial returns and long-term strategic gains such as brand reputation, employee engagement, and risk mitigation. We will also discuss how these intangible benefits contribute to overall organizational resilience and success.

This Roundtable Series is made possible with the generous support of our knowledge partners: Corning, J.M. Huber, Michelin, AlixPartners, Weil, Broadridge, ExxonMobil, and Seyfarth.

To Attend:

The session will occur both virtually and in-person at The Conference Board (845 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10022).

To register for in-person attendance, and to learn more about speaking opportunities, please e-mail Lindsay Beltzer, Senior Program Producer, at lbeltzer@tcb.org. To register for virtual participation, please log into our website at the top of this page.
