Participation at the 37th International Conference “Valuable Data, Priceless Privacy”

The secretariat of the Committee of Convention 108 participated in the 37th International Conference “Valuable Data, Priceless Privacy” in Cambridge, 1 - 3 July 2024 organised by Privacy, Laws & Business. The theme of the conference included notably: Cross-regulatory cooperation, national digital sovereignty, international court decisions, data protection and AI and international data transfers. Regulators, companies, law firms and academics from 16 countries discussed during 30 sessions in 3 days issues of contrasting perspectives and looked at future privacy law trends.

The recently adopted Council of Europe Model Contractual Clauses have been presented in details and their potential in bridging other existing regional, national clauses was debated.
