46th Plenary meeting of the Committee of Convention 108

The 46th Plenary meeting of the Committee of Convention 108 (T-PD) took place from 5 to 7 June 2024, in Strasbourg.

The plenary meeting of the Committee of Convention 108 (T-PD) was productive with the adoption of the third module of the Model Contractual Clauses for the transfer of personal data from processor to processor. Previously, the Committee of Convention 108 had adopted the first module (from controller to controller)  and second module (from  controller  to processor) last year. The T-PD has also adopted the Guidelines on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data for the purposes of voter registration and authentication, and continued its work with regard the interpretation of article 11 of the modernised Convention. The committee also held an exchange of views based on the scientific report on the data protection in the context of neurosciences prepared by Marcello Ienca and Eduardo Bertoni.

The chair of the committee, Elsa Mein handed over the committee’s Stefano Rodota award to the winners of the 2024 competition: Konrad Kollnig and Lin Kyi in the “PhD thesis” category and the “articles” category respectively.
