If there’s one thing Chrissy Teigen and John Legend love almost as much as kids Luna and Miles, it’s their furry friends! The beloved comedian revealed her family added a new member to their brood as she shared a series of photos and videos of their new rescue dog, Petey.
“Welcome to the family, Petey!” the 34-year-old beauty captioned the clip of the caramel-colored pooch on Sunday, January 5. “Thank you Ellen DeGeneres and [the The Wagmor Pet Hotel & Spa] for making us aware of this adorable little rescue family. This little guy grabbed our heart first and will hold onto it forever!”
Moments after introducing the sweet puppy to her Instagram followers, the Lip Sync Battle host shared the cutest video of daughter Luna, 3, being the best big sister. “Excuse me? 😂” she wrote alongside a clip of her youngster carrying Petey before dropping him off in dad John’s arms, calling the singer by his first name.
In typical Chrissy fashion, she also joked about having an “unused crate for sale” as Petey was seen snuggling up to Luna on the couch. “Contact me at alreadyf—kedup@gmail dot com,” she hilariously continued in the caption.
Fans of the Bring the Funny star — who tied the knot with John, 41, in 2013 — couldn’t help but flood her comments section with messages regarding their new family member. “What a precious little guy … adorable,” one fan wrote, while another echoed, “It’s so fluffy, I wanna kiss it.”
Tons of fans even commended the former supermodel for adopting the rescue dog, rather than going through a breeder. “Way to go!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Adopt not shop is the way to go!! Thank you for saving a life!” one of Chrissy’s followers praised.
While daughter Luna seemed to be enjoying her family’s new pup, son Miles, 1, eventually joined in on the action. In the latest clip Chrissy shared on Sunday evening — which she simply captioned with a smiling face with hearts emoji — the “All of Me” crooner’s mini-me was spotted giving a sweet smooch on Petey’s head. Aww!
Although many were hoping Chrissy and John would be having a third baby, it looks like the pup will hold have to hold fans over for now. After the topic was brought up by a fan this past August, the brunette beauty dished when she and her husband plan on having another child.
“Gonna try to wait a few years before attempting again,” she quipped on Instagram at the time. “These guys are exhausting!”
