Near-record heat with scattered downpours

Temperatures in the afternoon will reach the upper 90s

ORLANDO, Fla. – Happy weekend! It’ll start sunny, but clouds will increase by Saturday afternoon.

Afternoon temperatures could hit 97 degrees in Orlando, close to the record of 98 degrees for the day set in 1980.

Highs

With high humidity, it’ll feel like 102-108 degrees. Rain chances are higher westward (50-60%) due to sea breeze collisions, with 20-30% in the metro area and 10-20% along the coast. Beachgoers should watch out for high rip currents and a very high UV index.
