ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A shelter dog that was in urgent need of help is now with a rescue after appearing on Trooper Steve on Patrol this week.

Steve visited Boo at Orange County Animal Services in Orlando.

Boo was one brought to the shelter as a stray and was one of the longest residents, but because he needs to be an only dog and he has heartworm disease, he needed to be pulled by a registered animal rescue partner.

Well after getting a boost from Trooper Steve, News 6 learned from OCAS that Boo was pulled on Tuesday, along with another dog, Zara, by rescues. Both dogs had been scheduled for euthanasia on Wednesday if they weren’t saved.

There are lots of other dogs and cats who could use a good home. To the pets up for adoption, go to the Orange County Animal Services website.
