1 dead, suspect arrested after shooting in Osceola County, deputies say

Isolated incident with no danger to public, sheriff’s office says

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – A person is dead and deputies have arrested a suspect after a shooting at a home in Osceola County on Saturday, according to sheriff’s office officials.

Deputies were called to a home in the area of 2460 Bronco Drive near St. Cloud in reference to a person who was shot in the driveway, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said the victim, identified as 29-year-old Joseph Beck, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Miller, fled from the home, according to a news release.

Deputies said that on Sunday, they were able to locate Miller at a different residence in St. Cloud where he was arrested and taken to the Osceola County jail.

Miller faces charges of felony murder with a firearm and burglary of conveyance with a battery with a firearm.
