ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan football landed a commitment from a quarterback prospect the day after he received a scholarship offer from Ohio State.
Brady Hart -- yes, Michigan got a quarterback named Brady Hart -- is a four-star prospect in the class of 2026 and the No. 7 QB in the 247 Sports Composite rankings.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound junior had scholarship offers from Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas A&M, and a host of other big-time schools.
On Monday, he announced that he had received an offer from Ohio State, complete with a photo of Kyle McCord throwing a pass in the Big House last season.
But less than 24 hours later, Hart announced his commitment to Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines. In fact, his Ohio State offer and Michigan commitment were posted in back-to-back tweets.

Hart is Michigan’s first commitment for 2026. Its 2025 class currently ranks No. 35 overall, but is No. 8 in the country in terms of average player ranking, which is probably more important in the transfer portal era.
The Wolverines are coming off a 15-0 season that culminated with a win over Alabama in the Rose Bowl semifinal and Washington in the national championship. It was their third-straight Big Ten title and third-straight victory over the Buckeyes.
With Jayden Davis enrolled as the leader of the 2024 class and four-star Carter Smith committed for 2025, Michigan seems to be in good hands at the quarterback position.
