One attacker seen by police sexually assaulting girl, officials say

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A teenager was lured to an area in Monroe Township over the weekend where two men beat him while a girl recorded the attack and posted it on social media, according to police.

Officials said a 19-year-old man was lured Saturday (May 21) to the area of Heatherwood Trail and Wildhaven Drive in Oakridge Estates.

When police arrived, the teenager told them he had been lured to the area by two men and a juvenile girl. He was assaulted by the two men while the girl recorded the incident and posted it on Snapchat, according to authorities.

While trying to locate the attackers, a trooper saw one of the two men through an open window engaged in sex with the juvenile, police said.

Michigan State Police troopers identified and arrested the two men. They are being held at the Monroe County Jail.

Charges including assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, assault and battery, and first-degree criminal sexual conduct are expected to be filed in connection with this case, authorities said.

The 19-year-old was taken to ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital with several injuries to his face, head, and arms.
