Pairing your summer with some wine

This bottle shop has the key to your summer dining

Do you find yourself struggling to figure out what wine to pair with your dinner? Costa Dedes, a certified wine specialist at Cloverleaf Bottle Shop in Southfield, and Davey Najor, a certified sommelier, appeared on “Live in the D” to talk about different food pairings you can use this summer.

The first wine they brought on the show was Cantina Zaccagnini Rosé. The wine has notes of strawberry in it so they paired with a strawberry salad.

The next wine they brought with them was the Villa Puccini Pinot Grigio. The two decided that the light and crisp wine is paired great with Italian meats and cheeses.

The last wine they brought on the show was the Sauvignon Blanc 2022 from Marlborough New Zealand that pairs well with shrimp cocktails.

All of the wines they brought on “Live in the D” came from the recently opened Cloverleaf Bottle Shop.

“There were a lot of customers saying that there was a need for that store (Cloverleaf Bottle Shop) to be back. It was there from 1961-1997 and they just missed that friendly atmosphere and service, so we’re bringing it back,” said Najor.
