Dressing up on a budget

This couple spent $25 to look this good

Often times dressing up means emptying your pockets for some nice clothes. However, the couple of Mark and Nicole Savedes found a way to dress up on a budget. They shared their style story alongside Local 4 Style Editor Jon Jordan on “Live in the D”.

On a road trip from Florida to Michigan the couple wanted to stop at resort called The Greenbrier in West Virginia. To stay at The Greenbrier meant following their dress code which meant the Savedes’ needed to go shopping.

Nicole thought that Mark would stop at a nice boutique to buy some clothes, but mark stopped at a Goodwill store. Nicole and Mark made the best out of the situation by purchasing for all sorts of upscale clothes that met the dress code at The Greenbrier. It only cost $25 which included Mark’s senior citizen discount. The couple ended up having full access to all the resort had to offer with their newly purchased outfits.

Nicole spent $5 on a dress and $3 for shoes. While Mark spent $5 for a sport coat, $2 for a dress shirt, $1 for a tie, $4 for pants, $1 for a belt, and $1 for shoes. Despite those cheap prices, it’s safe to say the couple looked good.
