As of 4 p.m., Beryl has continued to weaken with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph. The next advisory from the National Hurricane Center will be at 10 p.m. Beryl made landfall at Matagorda just before 4 a.m.
Gusty winds with a few showers and thunderstorms off the coast linger over the next couple of hours as it continues to move track northeastward throughout Monday afternoon and into the evening.

Beryl is quickly weakening, barely holding onto tropical storm status. Tropical storm-force winds can extend outward up to 125 miles, mainly impacting southeast of the center of the storm. Areas that were hit this morning as Beryl made landfall will see wind gusts significantly decrease throughout the evening, while some areas such as Liberty and Anahuac upwards to Crocket and Lufkin will continue to see some gustier winds well into the evening hours. There is still a chance for widespread power outages, downed trees, and potential damage to roofs.
Rain totals ranged from 2 inches to more than 10 inches, with some localized areas picking up near 15 inches. All remaining flood watches and flash flood warnings have expired. Some areas may still be under water. Remember always to turn around and not drown.
All other watches and warnings - including Tropical Storm warnings and the Tornado Watch - we had earlier have also expired.
