Esther Bishop

Esther Bishop, age 100, of Brandon, MS went to be with the Lord on June 24th, 2024. Mrs. Bishop was born on April 19th, 1924 in Mulberry Grove, Illinois to Baxter and Cordia Collier. She married Donald Bishop in 1945 and they had two daughters. She worked as a hairdresser and owned her own shop until her retirement.

In her younger years, Mrs. Bishop enjoyed square dancing, camping and hiking. She also liked crafts and sewing, but her favorite pastime was working in her yard. While she lived in Baldwin County, she was a member of the Fairhope SDA Church and hosted a Bible Study at her home for many years.

Mrs. Bishop was preceded in death by husband Donald Bishop, daughter Donna Machen and granddaughter Veronica Casciato.

She is survived by daughter Cynthia Dunn, grandchildren Alan Dunn, Maureen Craig, Christy Foley, Barbara Holder, Spike Dog, Daniel Dunn and Donald Dunn, as well as six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life and Graveside Service will be held in Foley, Alabama at a later date.
