The plaudits poured in Monday for FC Cincinnati following its comprehensive performance against Inter Miami CF.

Four members of the team were honored in the Team of the Match Day issued Monday by MLS, including head coach Pat Noonan, Luciano Acosta, Yuya Kubo and Luca Orellano. FC Cincinnati romped over Miami, 6-1, to overtake the "Herons" for the lead in the MLS standings.

FCC (15-4-3, 48 points) jumped Miami (14-4-5, 47 points) in the race for the Supporters' Shield, and holds a game in-hand.

With Noonan presiding over a new-look formation for FC Cincinnati, Acosta delivered a goal and two assists while Kubo scored twice. Orellano assisted on both Kubo goals.

FC Cincinnati earned multiple honors from MLS following its 6-1 win over Miami.

Noonan was recognized as the coach of the week for the third time in 2024 while Acosta earned his 12th weekly honor. Orellano was a Team of the Week honoree for the fourth time while Kubo pulled in the award for the second time this season.

Miles Robinson is officially going to the Paris Olympics

U.S. Soccer on Monday confirmed its full roster for the Paris Olympics men's soccer tournament, and that FC Cincinnati center back Miles Robinson would be on the team.

The Enquirer reported Saturday that Robinson would join the U.S. Olympic team in Paris, and that he is expected to miss FC Cincinnati's July 17 and July 20 matches during his stay in France.

FC Cincinnati's Mile's Robinson (12) takes the ball down the field during their match against Atlanta United FC. FC Cincinnati was leading the match at halftime with a score of 1-0.

Robinson, 27, of Arlington, Massachusetts, is one of three MLS-based over-age players on the U.S. men's Olympic team. The men's soccer tournament in the Olympics is an Under-23 tournament but each country can roster up to three players older, and usually more experienced, than that.

For the U.S., the Olympic tournament begins July 24 against France. The U.S. will then face New Zealand and Guinea on July 27 and July 30.

Robinson is scheduled to have a news conference Tuesday at FC Cincinnati's Mercy Health Training Center to discuss his inclusion in the Olympic roster.
