Grant Beerman, Lakota West linebacker, commits to Purdue over Cincinnati, WVU, others

Grant Beerman, a Class of 2025 linebacker at Lakota West High School, announced Saturday via Twitter/X that he's committed to the Purdue Boilermakers.

Beerman's finalists included Purdue, the Cincinnati Bearcats, West Virginia Mountaineers and Michigan State Spartans.

Beerman visited all four of the schools in June. He visited UC on June 1.

Princeton running back Antonio Hunter is tackled by Lakota West defenders Grant Beerman (33) and Jacob Asbeck.

Beerman had offers from Virginia, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Minnesota, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois and others. Beerman's bio on Twitter/X says he had 29 offers from Division I schools.

Purdue's football roster includes wide receiver Tra'Mar Harris of Winton Woods, defensive back Koy Beasley of La Salle and tight ends Max and Luke Klare of St. Xavier. The Boilermakers received a recent commitment from Drayden Pavey, a Class of 2025 defensive lineman at Taft High School.

Beerman's Hudl profile lists the linebacker as 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, with a 40-yard dash time of 4.54.
