BEIJING — Chinese Premier Li Qiang on Thursday sent a message to Mostafa Madbouly to congratulate him on his reelection as the prime minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
In his message, Li said that China and Egypt enjoy a deep and longstanding friendship, adding that in recent years, under the joint guidance and concern of President Xi Jinping and President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership has flourished and brought tangible benefits to the two peoples.

Noting that the Chinese government attaches great importance to the development of bilateral ties, Li said that China is ready to work with the new Egyptian government to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, deepen political mutual trust, and strengthen friendly cooperation in various fields, so as to promote continuous new development of China-Egypt relations.
