A five-bedroom, 5,622-square-foot, recently built mansion on Lake Michigan in Winnetka has been listed for just under $10 million, and its owners also just sold an eight-bedroom, 7,100-square-foot Nantucket-style mansion in Kenilworth for $2.5 million.

Located on Sheridan Road, the lakefront mansion in Winnetka was built in 2015 and was designed by Morgante Wilson Architects. Owners Gaillee and Neil Fitzpatrick paid $12 million for it in 2018, meaning they are seeking $2 million less for the mansion than they paid.

The Fitzpatricks purchased the Winnetka mansion in 2018 using an opaque Chicago Title land trust, but their names are identified as the mansion’s owners on a 2018 building permit application with the Village of Winnetka that was obtained by Elite Street. Neil Fitzpatrick is the founder and chief operating officer of Chicago quantitative proprietary trading firm Headlands Technologies.

The Sheridan Road property is listed in the real estate agents’ private listing network, meaning that details on it are not available to the general public. Set behind gates, the two-story neo-Georgian mansion has five full bathrooms, two half-baths, views of the lake from almost every room, a designer white kitchen with a butler’s pantry and a walk-in pantry, primary bedrooms on the first and second floor, a great room with a two-story ceiling, two wine cellars and an attached three-car garage. It sits on a 0.71-acre lot.

In Kenilworth, the Fitzpatricks paid $2.8 million in 2016 for the Nantucket-style mansion that they just sold, which has 51/2 bathrooms, a large coach house, 10-foot ceilings and five fireplaces. They had listed it in October 2020 for $3.3 million and cut their asking price to $2.9 million in January before finding a buyer. The sale closed on Sept. 15.

Listing agent Kathryn Mangel, who represented the Fitzpatricks in both deals, declined to comment on either property and Mike Grabill, who is Neil Fitzpatrick’s attorney, did not respond to a request for comment.

The lakefront mansion in Winnetka had a $137,432 property tax bill in the 2020 tax year, while the Kenilworth mansion had a $73,575 property tax bill in the 2020 tax year.
