The Glencoe Golf Club will host its inaugural Family Fun Day on May 21, according to Golf Club general manager Stella Nanos.

Instructors will be on hand to teach adults and children techniques on putting, chipping and the full golf swing, Nanos said, adding that after the lessons, contests will be held in each of the categories.

“We wanted to get more families out to participate together and to give the children the opportunity to be more competitive against their parents,” Nanos said.

The free event will run from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration is required before the event, Nanos said. Those interested can sign up at www.glencoegolfclub.com.
