Rockies' Cal Quantrill: Hands in quality start
Quantrill yielded three runs on five hits and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out five during a win over the Giants.
Quantrill coughed up a pair of runs in the second inning and another in the third. Unfortunately for him, the Rockies didn't take the lead until the eighth inning, so he's still searching for his first win since June 11. In six starts since that last victory, Quantril has posted a 6.44 ERA through 29.1 frames. He's now sporting a 4.15 ERA with an 83:41 K:BB through 108.1 innings. Quantrill's next appearance is currently lined up to come at home against the Red Sox.

Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Belts 16th home run
Doyle went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Giants.
Doyle picked up where he left off after a hot first half with a two-run shot to put Colorado on the board in the sixth inning. He's gone deep five times over his last seven appearances dating back to July 9. The breakout slugger boosted his slash line to .279/.345/.481 with 34 extra-base hits, 44 RBI and 20 stolen bases through 93 contests.

Rockies' Antonio Senzatela: To face hitters soon
Senzatela (elbow) completed a bullpen session Friday and is nearing a live batting practice session, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
Senzatela has been working his way back from Tommy John surgery performed last July. The right-hander will likely throw multiple BP sessions before being sent out on a rehab assignment. A timeline for his return should become clearer once he's ready for game action.

Rockies' Lucas Gilbreath: Set for rehab assignment
Gilbreath (elbow) will throw a bullpen session Saturday and will begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League early next week, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
Gilbreath continues to work his way back from Tommy John surgery in March of 2023. He was slated to return to the majors earlier this season, but that was pushed back after he strained his shoulder in May, prompting a move to the 60-day injured list. he appears ready to begin ramping back up, however. In his last full season in 2022 with the Rockies, Gilbreath posted a 4.19 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 43 innings.

Jones remains without a return timeline after landing on the injured list Saturday due to a lower-back strain, though his return to BP is a sign that he's trending in the right direction. While the 26-year-old remains on the shelf, Sam Hilliard and Sean Bouchard will continue to split reps in left field.

Bryant (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.
Bryant will play in all three games for Albuquerque over the weekend before being re-evaluated by team doctors. In his last 10 games prior to being placed on the injured list June 6 due to a left rib contusion and oblique strain, Bryant had gone 9-for-35 with one home run and four RBI, which actually brought his season slash line up to .186/.307/.279.

Rockies' Charlie Condon: Record-tying $9.25 million bonus
The Rockies signed Condon on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, Condon will receive a signing bonus of $9.25 million. That matches the bonus given to No. 2 pick Chase Burns after Burns had set the record for the biggest bonus in draft history. Condon clubbed 37 home runs in 60 games in his final year at Georgia and immediately becomes one of the best power-hitting prospects in baseball.

Rockies' Josh Rogers: Clears waivers
The Rockies outrighted Rogers to Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday.
Rogers will stick around in the Rockies organization after he went unclaimed off waivers upon being designated for assignment Monday. He had been serving as a reliever for the Rockies but could step into a rotation spot for Albuquerque, with whom he had previously started in nine of his 10 appearances on the season prior to getting called up to Colorado in late May.

Rockies' Josh Rogers: Pushed off 40-man roster
The Rockies designated Rogers for assignment Monday.
One day after getting optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque, Rogers now finds himself off the Rockies' 40-man roster after Colorado claimed lefty Antoine Kelly off waivers from Texas in a corresponding move. Before his demotion, Rogers had made five appearances at the big-league level this season, giving up seven earned runs on 12 hits and two walks over 9.1 innings. Rogers will likely stick around with the Rockies as bullpen depth at Albuquerque if he clears waivers.

Rockies' Antoine Kelly: Scooped up by Colorado
The Rockies claimed Kelly off waivers from the Rangers on Monday.
Colorado designated left-hander Josh Rogers for assignment to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Kelly, a 24-year-old southpaw who offers more long-term upside but has struggled mightily in the minors this season. Between stops with Triple-A Round Rock and Double-A Frisco, Kelly has posted a 9.35 ERA and 24:22 K:BB in 17.1 innings.

The Rockies have selected Johnson with the 139th overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft.
Johnson, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound righty from Texas, turned down third-round money last year as a draft-eligible sophomore. He logged a 5.60 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and an 84:44 K:BB in 72.1 innings this spring for the Longhorns. He may fit best in a relief role.

Wright was a four-year player at Clemson and showed significant power growth in his senior season after his 2023 season was derailed by a wrist injury. He was a captain with the Tigers and is lauded for his baseball IQ, giving him a potential path to the majors as a utility option.

Rockies' Cole Messina: Goes to Colorado
The Rockies have selected Messina with the 77th overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft.
A catcher out of the University of South Carolina, Messina is a better hitter than defender at this stage, but he should be able to stick behind the plate. He could develop double-digit homer power while drawing his share of walks, but he'll likely never hit for a high batting average.
