3 children allegedly abducted by non-custodial parent from South LA are found

Three children allegedly abducted by their non-custodial parent from South Los Angeles have been located and are safe, police said.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the incident unfolded Saturday morning in the 2000 block of West Florence Avenue when Timberly White, the non-custodial mother, allegedly took them. 

The department had asked for the public's help in locating the children, who were identified as 14-year-old Mar-Naiya Shelton, 12-year-old Major Shelton, and 6-year-old Jeneral Wellace-Patterson, police said.

The LAPD said the children were located by Sunday afternoon and were with a family member. No further details were immediately available.
