Teen drives into Midland duck pond

MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - A vehicle was seen submerged at Wadley Barron Park on Monday morning.
The City of Midland says that a 17-year-old girl was driving a Lincoln MKZ sedan south on B Street when she hopped the curb and entered the water.
The vehicle entered the pond from the northwest side of the park, becoming fully submerged, the City of Midland said.
The teen driver tried to run away from the scene but was soon found only a block away, according to Midland Police.
Another teen was also in the vehicle, officials say that both of them were treated for minor injuries.
Officials also told CBS7 that a wrecker service removed the vehicle from the duck pond by 9:10 a.m. Monday.
