OPD investigates probable fentanyl overdose death of a 13-year-old

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - The Odessa Police Department is investigating the death of a 13-year-old who officers found dead from a probable overdose.
Preliminary autopsy results indicate a fentanyl overdose.
This incident occurred in the 1900 block of E. 13th St. in Odessa.
This investigation is currently being conducted by the Homicide Unit, and they do have persons of interest. The investigation is ongoing.
The Odessa Police Department says it is likely to take some time for investigators to develop evidence sufficient to present to the Ector County Grand Jury.
