Synthetic turf soccer field coming to Blankenship Field

BIG SPRING, Texas (KOSA) - The Big Spring ISD Board approved building a synthetic turf soccer field at Blankenship field.
The total cost will be $1.4 million dollars. Hellas Construction will complete the project within 90 days.
According to our partners at KBEST Media, the district had $2 million budgeted for Chapter 49 Robin Hood last year and did not owe the state, which means there is a surplus of $2 million.
