ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) -The West Texas Super Show has live music, a car show, and a lot of vendors taking part in this event.

Car enthusiasts brought their vehicles to the Ector County Coliseum.

Their main goal is to win the championship.

The owner of Skan Da Lac Junior Castro has won three national car titles in a row.

He earned a spot to compete in the world title car show against car enthusiasts from across the globe.

“Finally, I got to where I am now competing against the best. Now it’s a worldwide title that we’re going for. We are going to be competing against Japan and everywhere else. It’s been an ongoing goal building cars and now we are finally there.” said the Owner of Skan Da Lac Junior Castro.

Castro started his passion for lowriders because his dad was a mechanic.

His dad passed away when he was four months old, and he wants to follow in his footsteps

“My aunts, uncles, my mom, my brothers, they always told me about his passion for building cars so I took it upon myself to start wanting to do what he did,” said Junior Castro.

His secret to success in winning three national titles is paying attention to detail in the car and seeing if there are any flaws.

He wants to stand out from the other competitors across the globe in Las Vegas.

“The car speaks for itself. We come to shows like this and we have a variety of cars with real quality but you can find all at the very end of the day who is paying more attention, not just the caliber of car that you’re going for,” said Junior Castro.

Not only does he want to win just one world title, but he wants to start another three-peat.

“We are going to go for three three-year straight titles to try to do world champion three times in a row and my next goal is to end up at the Anaheim Museum in Anaheim California once it gets to that part right there pretty much retire this car and move on the next,” said Junior Castro.
